Scratchers, in tattooing terms, is an untrained tattoo artist who tattoos outside of a studio utilizing any equipment he/she can get their hands on. Generally speaking, nowadays scratchers are people who think tattooing is simply taking a tattoo gun and sketching – or “scratching” – a design onto someone’s skin.
We’re not saying all of these tattoos are atrocious. In fact, some of the nonprofessional tattoos depicted in the gallery below look like they were done by people that might have real talent if they keep practicing.
That being said, none of these tattoos are well done according to today’s standards.
We’re not really sure what to say. These pictures are pretty self-explanatory. If you’re still dumb enough to get a sketchy piercing from an unlicensed amateur in their home after seeing this gallery, then we simply can help you. As the saying goes, you can’t fix stupid.
