Entrancing Hannya Tattoos

The Hannya is a mask used in Noh theater, which is a major form of classical Japanese musical drama that has been performed since the 14th Century. The mask represents a jealous female serpent and is most commonly featured with two sharp bull horns, a leering mouth and metallic eyes. It’s one of the most popular Japanese symbols today, seen in artwork of all styles and is largely featured in a wide variety of Japanese tattoo designs. Its demonic overtones and expressive expression makes it a favorite symbol for a lot of people. These are some of the most beautiful Hannya tattoos we’ve ever seen, and we’re sure you’ll enjoy them as much as we do.   Read More »

Stunning Symbolic Peacock Tattoos

The peacock has been a prized creature due to its majestic appearance and scarcity for centuries. Historically, the peacock has always stood as a symbol of nobility for its regal outward appearance and watchfulness for the eye-like designs on its feathers that it uses to trick predators into thinking it’s larger than it really is. It can also stand for guidance, holiness and protection too. The peacock is a very beautiful, colorful and unique bird, making it a prime tattoo design subject even if you don’t care about the symbolism it comes with. We hope you find the following peacock tattoos as exquisite as we do.   [the_ad id=”36293″] [the_ad id=”36294″] Read More »

Artist Spotlight – AD Pancho

AD Pancho (Alex Pancho) @ad_pancho While most insanely talented tattoo artists are able to create designs of any and every style, many tend to become well-known for one or two particular forms and become the go-to artist for said style. However, AD Pancho is a bit of an oddity because he doesn’t stick to any one particular style. Follow his Facebook or Instagram accounts and you’re sure to see a variety of tattoo styles that you won’t get from a lot of other tattoo artists. It’s his high level of talent coupled with this level of variance that makes AD Pancho such an impressive artist. He’s a Polish artist who works out of Needle Art Studio in Wroclaw, Poland. If you ever find yourself in the area and are able to do so, we highly suggest getting a tattoo done by him. A single glance at the gallery below should be enough to understand why. Incredible Lion Tattoos

The lion, aka the “King of the Jungle”, is the second-largest living cat after the tiger – which you can see a gallery for by clicking here. When most people think of lions they envision the power male lion with its large bushy mane, but female lions look more panther-like in appearance, giving artists a sort of noticeable gender variance that isn’t seen in many animal species. Lions have been inspiring people for years and become largely associated with myths and legends, like the chimera depiction you’ll see in the gallery below. There’s so much intense symbolism you can use with lions that the design options are endless. We hope you enjoy this gallery as much as we do.   Read More »

Totally Sick Full Leg Sleeves

Well, we just showed off a full arm sleeves tattoo gallery so let’s look at the other appendages – the legs! Full leg sleeve tattoos aren’t quiet as common as full arm sleeves but they’re certainly no less impressive. In fact, the leg tends to give artists more room to work with, offering opportunities for more detailed and intricate tattoo designs. The only real down side to sleeve tattoos are if you live somewhere that gets hit hard by cold weather and have to cover them up to stay warm for 4-6 months out of the year, but that’s what heaters are for, right? During the warmer months you get to flaunt all your hard work (provided you don’t skip leg day) and badass tattoos as you carry on with your daily activities. We hope you enjoy these leg sleeves as much as we do, and be sure to check back daily for more amazing tattoos!   [the_ad id=”36293″] [the_ad id=”36294″] Read More »

WTF Tattoo Fails

As much as we dislike showing off the seedier side of tattoo culture, whenever we post bad tattoo galleries you guys seem to lap them up with wild abandon. Even after we made an entire gallery and article asking people to stop getting bad tattoos – which you can find here – terrible tattoo pictures continue to pour onto the internet daily. So, for your viewing pleasure and as another example of what NOT to do, here’s another tattoo failure gallery. These are some of the worst tattoos we’ve ever seen, and we don’t care what the circumstances around them entail. They’re bad and the people who got them should not be allowed to make their own decisions for their own safety. [the_ad id=”36293″] [the_ad id=”36294″] Read More »

Badass Full Sleeve Tattoos

Just be careful and think about what kind of impact such visible tattoos may have on your career aspirations. Unfortunately we live in an unjust and prejudicial world, but it’s also slowly changing and largely becoming more progressive too.   [the_ad id=”36293″] [the_ad id=”36294″] Read More »

Sublime Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing Tattoos

The “wolf in sheep’s clothing” idiom is largely associated with Aesop’s fables but actually originates from the Bible. In the King James Version, Matthew 7:15 states, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” The lesson of falsehood has been passed down over the centuries and is one of the most widely understood idioms around the world today. These tattoos have chosen to take the idiom a bit more literally than it intends, and to sublime artistic effect. This tattoo gallery is a massive testament to how the same bit of symbolism can be used in strikingly different ways, so that no two tattoos ever look alike.   [the_ad id=”36293″] [the_ad id=”36294″] Read More »
