Dave Shore passed away suddenly this year, the very day his shop was scheduled to close. He worked almost daily right up to the end. It is his legacy that we wish to honor! A character of mythical proportions… Stories of his days in Texas, Hawaii and Europe are from an era in tattooing few of us got to witness. Dave worked under the banner of such great tattooists as Mike Malone, Zeke Owens and Henk (Hanky Panky) Schiffmacher and alongside Ed Hardy, Horiyoshi, Luke Atkinson, Corey Miller, Paul Jefferies and many more. Fxck Cancer Fundraising Benefit at HB Tattoo

What up y’all, for those who don’t know who I am, my name is Thomas Morgan from HB Tattoo in Southern California. As most of you already know, on November 21st the Amsterdam Tattoo Museum was taken away from all of us, doors locked forbidding access and collection taken hostage! The Amsterdam Tattoo Museum is the first museum that is totally dedicated to tattooing. It shows the world’s largest tattoo collection, collected by Henk (Hanky Panky) Schiffmacher. Fighting tooth and nail along side of Henk is his lovely wife Louise ‘The Queen’ Schiffmacher. In the midst of their year-long battle to save the Museum, Louise recently got news that she has liver cancer and needs a transplant. (Letter from Louise: http://ow.ly/gQj7f.) Now they need our support more than ever. That’s where we come in! We have recently teamed up with an Non-Profit Foundation based here in Huntington Beach, CA called “Fxck Cancer” a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. It brings me great pleasure to announce the date for the 5th annual Tattooing to Save Babies on September 22nd, 2012. Over the last four years we have raised nearly $40,000.00 and we could not have done it without you!!! If you have received this note we are hoping you will join us and spread the word to all tattooers of the upcoming event. Food Tattoos For Hunger
Courtesy of Off the Map Tattoo: On November 18th, 2012 TattooNOW, along with dozens of other tattoo studios will commit their time and efforts to Food Tattoos For Hunger day. Participating artists, shops and donators will all work in partnership with Feeding America and will be doing food tattoos for donations to food banks.

Come on by and show your support for some good people who have been tragically struck on their motorbikes recently, it’ll be a good time and a good positive vibe. As parents to two premature children the March of Dimes has been an amazing source of strength and support to our family. They continue to fund and find amazing ways to save a child that have been born too soon. Through education and awareness we can fight against babies being born prematurely and having to face life-long disabilities and even infant mortality…
