Corrosion of Conformity (C.O.C.) the legendary hardcore band from North Carolina with almost 30 years history, has gone through many changes and members. Currently, three of C.O.C.’s founding members Mike Dean, Woody Weatherman and Reed Mullin are on tour.
The the three-piece C.O.C. is doing a setlist that is made up mostly of the Animosity album. I was able to catch up with Mike Dean before the C.O.C. show in Atlanta at The Earl and ask him a few questions about the tour, controversy about the bands changing sound and his lack of tattoos…
Phil Anselmo from Pantera Talks About Tattoos and Football

Philip Anselmo is best know as a front man for the bands Pantera, Down and Superjoint Ritual. His reputation for having a larger than life personality did not fail to live up to itself when I recently interviewed him. Anselmo is currently on tour playing guitar with the band Arson Anthem. The Arson Anthem tour is also showcasing the talents of the bands Harp and Warbeast. All bands on the tour are on the label started by Anselmo, Housecore Records. Crowbar’s Kirk Windstein Talks About Tattoos, Rock Music and New Album, Sever The Wicked Hand

I chat almost daily with my friend and rock aficionado Don creator of, The Great Southern Brainfart blog. He and I met while shooting at a concert in the summer and in a recent conversation he asked if I was going to cover Crowbar.
I had heard of them, but didn’t know their music. Don proceeds to rattle of an impressive list of adjectives to describe them. While he was still listing Crowbar’s attributes, I managed to find and listen to them (thank you technology). Within minutes, I knew that Don was a genius and I wanted to cover them. (more…)
