Pinky Yun (RIP) Remembering the Legendary Tattoo Artist

The legendary artist Pinky Yun. I had the privilege of meeting Pinky on two occasions. Once was in the company of nearly 45 other tattoo artists who made the trip from a local convention. The other visit was by invitation of Don Ed hardy, a longtime friend of Pinky and one of his greatest supporters. He is missed. Pinky passed on Dec. 2nd, 2010. Just prior to his death, Horitaka had done an interview with him for Tattoo Artist Magazine #26. I just found this article again and am happy to pay homage to one of fallen heroes – RIP Pinky! His career began in Hong Kong tattooing sailors for the mob and his life’s journey led him to opening a shop in Japan and later multiple shops in California.
